🇧🇷 KCD Brazil and SouJava Rio

I had a fantastic time presenting at the SouJava Rio meetup and KCD Brazil, which happened in Rio this year. It is always fun to meet the local communities, visit old friends and make new ones.
I don't have enough words to thank the organizers of KCD Brazil (Carol, you are the best!) and my friend Matheuz Cruz from Itau, the folks from Impulso and the folks from SouJava who always welcome and promote knowledge sharing in the Java community.
Unfortunately, I did a terrible job taking pictures, so if you took a picture with me, please share it via DM on any social network.
The Keynote
Doing a keynote is always challenging as it comes with a lot of responsibility. Still, it was an absolute honor to talk about Platform Engineering on Kubernetes, the book, and the work happening in the CNCF and the Dapr project with the Brazilian community.
The Dapr Backstage Plugin
It was great fun to meet Francisco Meneses from Red Hat to do the world premiere of the Dapr Backstage Plugin! As we mentioned in the presentation, we need you! If you want to learn and contribute to an Open Source project, reach out to us!

The Community
It was great to meet with Edu Spoti, who is constantly teaching me about the state of (tech) affairs in LATAM, and the folks from BCP Peru.
Big shoutout to Stormforge, especially Rafael Brito, who organized a Platform Engineering on Kubernetes book signing session and raffled around 20 books to the local community.

SouJava, Dapr and Spring Boot
I had a great time visiting the Impulso team offices in Rio. We had a good chat about the architecture of Dapr, how it integrates with Spring Boot, and how the project lets developers focus on coding instead of learning about ActiveMQ.
Thank you so much for being so welcoming!
