I’m looking forward to participate for the 4th year in a row as Mentor, so get in touch if you want to participate of this year program. Hopefully this year JBoss will get accepted again as an open source organisation. So we will be looking for students to implement this proposals.

There are 4 proposed ideas under Application Development:

And one under Management &  Monitoring:

Let us know what you think about them, and we might work together on getting this done during Summer Time.

Stay tuned for more information on the up coming weeks.

  6. Hi
I’m a currently doing my masters at University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka, and I have graduated from Computer Science and Engineering faculty of University of Moratuwa. I’m interested in Drools IoT (Drools + Pi4J) – Drools Demo into the Raspberry PI project.

I have a good experience in java, but I lack my knowledge in Raspberry PI, Drools and Pi4J. So I’ll start studding on them. It wold me more helpful if you could give me your contact information, so I can directly contact you if I get any questions.

    Thanks

    1. Hi there,
You kinda need to start learning those projects if you want to apply to the GSoC, because if not you will not have enough time to get up to speed and deliver. In the GSoC program you need to submit a proposal on how you think to work on the program inside the project, and for that you kinda need to know what you want to do during the 3 months. I can of course give you guidance, but you need to be pro-active and learn those projects basics on your own so you know how to ask questions when you get stuck.

      Cheers

  7. I am Johannes Rembe and want to add to the GSoC for the “Integrate Drools with your favourite project” using the KIE Server Apache Thrift integration project. Do you have interest in this project, if not too late? Basic knowlledge is already available so getting up to speed fast should not be a problem because of the late entry. The project needs to implement more of the Drools API. I am studiing in Fontys Hogeschool in Venlo, the Netherlands.
Hope too hear from you soon.
